Section – wise Tips –
Reasoning Ability
- 40 questions will be asked in this topic with a total of 40 marks.
- Try to finish this topic within 20 minutes so that you have sufficient time for the Numerical Ability section as well.
- Try to attempt the following topics first in this section since they are less time consuming-
1. Inequality
2. Syllogism
3. Coding – Decoding
4. Miscellaneous questions including Blood relations, Direction based questions.
4. Once you are done with these questions, you can attempt the Seating arrangement and Puzzle based questions. Try not to spend more than 4 -5 minutes on any arrangement.
Numerical Ability
- This section comprises of 40 questions with a total of 40 marks.
- Try to devote at least 25 minutes for this section since this part is calculative and hence time consuming.
- Try to attempt the following topics first in this section since they are less time consuming-
1. Number Series
2. Simplification/ Approximation
3. Data Interpretation (Ratio and Average based questions)
4.Quadratic Equations
5. Once you finish these topics, you any move to the miscellaneous questions if you have time left.

- Time Management is crucial in order to clear this exam. Make sure that you attempt sufficient questions from each section.
- Do not try to solve each and every question. Select the questions you solve first carefully, keeping in mind your stronger areas. Try to first attempt the questions which are less time consuming.
- Speed and Accuracy are also imperative to qualify this exam. Make sure you maintain proper speed while solving the questions since the beginning.
- Please keep in mind that there is Negative Marking of ¼ marks per question for each Wrong Answer.
- Remember this exam is just Qualifying in nature. The marks scored in this phase will not be included in the final merit list.
