IBPS PO VI 2016 Preliminary Exam Analysis – 23rd October (4th Slot)

Dear Aspirants,

The Preliminary phase of the IBPS PO/MT VI Exam had started from 16th October 2016. The third set of the exam is scheduled today. The fourth and the final slot of the exam was scheduled for 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. We are now going to provide you the analysis of this slot of the exam.

The level of the exam was Moderate.

Pattern of the Exam –

English Language

Level – Moderate to Difficult
(i) Reading Comprehension – 7 Questions – (Moderate) (Based on Economy) (No Synonym Antonym questions were asked)
(ii) Cloze Test – 8 Questions (Moderate) (Based on Education System)
(iii) Spotting Error/ Sentence Correction – 10 Questions (Moderate)
(iv) Para jumbles – 5 Questions (Moderate) (Based on China Road Congestion)

Quantitative Aptitude

Level –Easy to Moderate
(i) Number Series – 5 Questions (Moderate)
(ii) Approximation/ Simplification – 5 Questions (Easy )
(iii) Data Interpretation (2 Sets) – 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate) (Line graph and Tabular graph – 3 colleges with the total number of students and total number of female students)
(iv) Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions (Easy)
(v) Miscellaneous Questions – 10 Questions (Moderate)
Miscellaneous questions include – Age, Probability, Partnership, Profit Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, Compound/Simple Interest, Time & Work, etc.

Reasoning Ability

Level – Moderate
(i) Syllogism – 5 Questions (Easy)
(ii) Inequality – 5 Questions (Easy) Direct Questions
(iii) Puzzle and Arrangement – 15 Questions (Moderate) (Floor arrangement with the height of people as other parameter, Circular arrangement – 8 people with the profession of people as other parameter, Linear arrangement – 8 people in a straight line, facing north and south)
(vi) Miscellaneous Questions (Blood Relation, Direction based) – 10 Questions (Easy to Moderate)
No Coding – Decoding Questions were asked.
