Below is the SBI PO 2016 Interview Experience of GradeUp user.

Interview Experience SBI PO 2016 Exam

Hello frndz,

Sharing my Interview Experience

Timing: 10 am

Venue: Mumbai

Sharing my Interview Experience

Document Verification-we need to have 4 photocopied sets of the Original Bio-data for. So total 5 sets. 2 character certificates from 2 different authorities and 1 Identity certificate.

OBC Non-creamy layer candidates should possess Certificate of Govt of India dated after 1st April 2016. Though at my center they also allowed those persons who have Non-creamy certificate of their own states. This depends on the nature of persons checking your documents. There was a problem in Bio-metric verification of 2 of our Batch-mates. But authorities took undertaking from them and allowed them for GD. This was not the case at some centers.

GD- Has 2 Topics

1) A controversial topic was given to 10 candidates. One thing I felt bad about was the statement by Evaluator,”English will be the preferred language”. Then he said,”points will be given to your behavior during the discussion. No points if u keep on talking nonsense. Short talks with important points will be rewarded.”Anyways, 20 minutes were allotted. Anybody can start and finish the discussion.

2) Prioritization
Two lines were given on a topic. And then 8 points were mentioned below that. We were to pen down the preferences from 1 to 8 to those points. The points to which maximum number of candidates gave 1st preference and d last preference were to be discussed among ourselves. Consensus was to be formed among the group, which is impossible. So it went on become a fish-market. I don’t know how did they judge students here.

INTERVIEW
Panel of 5

2 cooperative CGM-SBI was d chairman.

Ours was d last batch of the day, so hardly 10-13 minutes per interview.

Only 2-3 questions on Banking. Rest were based on our profile and what we have written in Biodata form -Mine was good. One GD was average. Hoping fr 44+

All d best!!

Competition is tough

Thank u GradeUp

Below is the SBI PO 2016 Interview Experience of GradeUp user.

Interview Experience SBI PO 2016 Exam

Friends I have given my SBI PO Gd and interview on 3rd Sept. 2016

Timing: 10 am

Venue: Bandra kurla complex, Mumbai

Interview are taken in a batch of 10 candidates
Document verification started quite early at around 9:30
And was completed by 10:30
Gd was scheduled at 11
We were asked to wait till 11
2 Retired person were there to judge gd and prioritisation round

Gd topic was

  • “Is this era of internet
  • For prioritizing there were 8 factors

We had to rank them in order of most contributing to least contributing

The subject was ” reason for bad performance of India in games like Olympics” and 8 factors were given

No consensus was reached both the time

But we had a healthy discussion and no one was shouting or crossing each other

Then there was lunch break at around 12:30 and interview started again at around 1:15

Based on reviews of all 10 candidates following are important observations

No personal questions about introduction, strength weakness how are you suitable for this post or hobbies and stuff like that

Just 1-2 people were asked abt their hobbies in case they had mentioned something different and that too basic questions

I have done my graduation in chemical engineering

I wasn’t even asked why after chemical engineering i want to.go for banking sector

As 6 or 7 out of 10 candidates from my batch were engineers

They might be bored of same question

Asked in detail about engineering knowledge

Like how is petroleum produced from crude oil

Why is petrol costlier than diesel

Then one question on headquarters of international organisation was for almost everyone

Just one question about banking Awareness regarding types of account

Definition of NPA

Gross NPA of SBI

Assets of SBI

Questions based on experience and your hometown

And yes Schemes of Government was there for every other candidate

For Me it was Schemes by Modi Government for Women

For a person belonging to an economically backward region it was abt schemes by government for development of

that region.

Overall it was just basic questions, no hardcore banking questions.

Also just one panel was there consisting of 4 male and 1 female member

Head was DGM and others were GM I guess

And in Mumbai especially the same panel had been taking interview for every candidate right from first batch on 1st

September.

Overall I would ask you to take a look on Static GK, Headquarters of world organisations, and brush up your subjects from graduation and work experience.

Thank you guys
All the best!!
