July 5, 2016

Hello Readers,

Many of you are going to appear for SBI PO Prelims 2016 Exam on 9 & 10th July 2016. The Prelims Exam is a kind of elimination round, where if you do not perform well, you will be knockout from the competition. So, it is necessary for you to have a effective and smart strategy which will lead you to the next level i.e. Mains Exam.

Power Pack Strategy

The level of SBI PO Prelims Exam held on 2nd & 3rd July 2016 was a shocking experience, the whole paper was dominated by only one section i.e Reasoning. Since IBPS PO 2015, reasoning had played a dominating role in the exams.

It is expected that SBI will follow the same pattern on 9 & 10th July, so we are providing detailed analysis and strategy based on the analysis to help you with your preparation.

Pattern of the Exam

1

Few Points to be kept in mind –

1. You only have to qualify the exam, i.e. – Try to clear both sectional and overall cut off which will never go beyond 46 (considering the worst case) for SBI PO Prelims Exam.

2. Proper time management is important and to be precise allot for each section. For e.g.-

English Section – 15 minutes

Quant – 20 minutes

Reasoning – 25 minutes

3. Believe me they are sufficient and in this time frame one can easily attempt 55- questions ( with maximum accuracy) based on the level of questions asked in the exam.

4. Scan the paper especially (Reasoning and Quant) to find easier questions and attempt them first. SBI will never give you extra marks for doing difficult ques. No need to take any ques as a challenge and stuck to it.  Skip those questions in which you are not comfortable or which is taking more than one min.

5. Most imp, Go with the right frame of mind,be positive and believe in yourself. You don’t need to be swayed by the reviews of others.. It’s very good if someone is able to attempt 80 but It’s prelim and all you need is 45 or 46 to get a call. So count on quality rather than quantity.
