- Core of - central (most important) part of
- Evocative - making you remember or imagine something pleasant
- Imbues - inspire with a feeling or quality
- Warmth - a friendly and enthusiastic quality in someone or something
- Maritime - connected with the sea
- Accompanied - be present or occur at the same time as (something else)
- Enhancing - improving
- Shortfall - an amount that is less than the level that was expected or needed
- Host - a person who receives or entertains other people as guests
- Shoring up something - to support or improve an organization, agreement, or system that is not working effectively or that is likely to fail
- Trajectory - path
- Inhibited - not confident enough to say or do what you want
- Formidable - causing you to have fear or respect for something or someone because that thing or person is large, powerful, or difficult

- Initiative - a new plan or process to achieve something or solve a problem
- Diverse - including many different types of people or things
- Pharmaceuticals - relating to the production of medicines
- Alliance - a union or association formed for mutual benefit, especially between countries or organizations

- Processed - perform a series of mechanical or chemical operations on (something) in order to change or preserve it

- Racism - the belief that people's qualities are influenced by their race and that the members of other races are not as good as the members of your own
- Vestige - a small part or amount of something larger, stronger, or more important that still exists from something that existed in the past
- Omission - to fail to include or do something
- Outreach - an effort to bring services or information to people where they live or spend time
- Sustained - continuing for a long time
- Fast food - hot food that is quick to cook or is already cooked and is therefore served very quickly in a restaurant
- Notion - a belief or idea
- Alter - to change something
- Consumer - a person who buys goods or services for their own use
- Levying - an amount of money, such as a tax, that you have to pay to a government or organization
- Non-essential - not absolutely necessary

- Witnessed - to see something happen
- Dip - to go down to a lower level
- Consumption - the amount used or eaten
- Density - the relationship between the mass of a substance and its size
- Imposition - the introduction of a new law or system
- Levy - tax
- Intake - an amount of food, air, or another substance taken into the body
- Context - the situation within which something exists or happens
- A step in the right direction - an action that increases the possibility of success
- Bears - carries
- Gimmick - a trick to attract attention / publicity
- Tiny - very small
- Principal - main
- Tokenism - doing something in order to make people believe that you are being fair and including all types of people and issues when this is not really true
- Revenue - income
- Mop up - to finish dealing with something
- Meagre - very small or not enough
- Reining - keeping under control
- Several - some (seperate and different)
- Adopt - choose to take up or follow
- Threshold - maximum limit
- Refined - with impurities or unwanted elements having been removed by processing
- Priority - B2 something that is very important and must be dealt with before other things
- Excuse - a reason or explanation given to justify a fault or offence
- Trans fat - a type of fat that is produced by hydrogenation (when vegetable oil is made into solid fat) and is used in fried foods
- Shelf life - the length of time for which an item remains usable, fit for consumption
- Coronary - an extremely dangerous medical condition in which the flow of blood to the heart is blocked by a blood clot
- Cross-subsidization - a situation in which profits from one activity are used to pay for another activity that is losing money or making less money
- Holistic - dealing with or treating the whole of something or someone and not just a part
