5. If there is an increase of 10% in total number of girls participating in Chemistry and History , then what is the total number of girls participating in tournament ?

Solution and Answers :

Percentage = (120*100)/150 = 80%
Boys participated in Chemistry = 300
Girls participated in Mathematics = 30
Difference = 300-30=270
After physics students dropped from tournament
total participants = 1000-250=750
Total boys = 610-190= 420
Percentage = (420*100)/750 = 56%
Boys participated in History = 30
Girls participated in Chemistry = 100
Ratio = 30:100 = 3:10
If 10% increase in Girls in History = 120*110/100= 132
If 10% increase in Girls in Chemistry = 100*110/100=110
Total number of girls = 132+110+30+60+80=412
