Amendment in the recruitment process of RRBs through CWE-V

IBPS has issued an Official Notification regarding amendment in the recruitment process of RRBs through CWE-V.The amendment in APR, 2010 is under cosideration of the Government. The department is considering the following improvements in the recruitment process of RRBs through suitable amendments in APR, 2010.

About RRBs

Regional Rural Banks (also RRBs) are local level banking organizations operating in different States of India. They have been created with a view to serve primarily the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services. However, RRBs may have branches set up for urban operations and their area of operation may include urban areas too.

Areas of Improvements in the recruitment process of RRBs

• Conduct of Interviews
• Local Language Proficiency
• Marks for Written Test & Interview
• State-wise merit list
• Two tier written examination
• Deputation
• Discontinuation of Interviews for junior level posts
