- Floor test - a test to prove majority (by head-count) on the floor of the Parliament for a crucial decision
- Foregone conclusion - a result that is obvious to everyone even before it happens
- Dissident - a person who opposes official policy
- Legislator - a person who makes laws (a member of a legislative body)
- Loyalist - a person that strongly supports the government or ruler in power
- Bloc - group
- Misadventure - an unfortunate incident
- Exploiting - to use something in a way that helps you
- Dissidence - protest against official policy
- Backed by - supported by
- Defector - a person who leaves his own group to join an opposing one
- Hastily - hurriedly
- Defection - to leave a country / political party, etc., especially in order to join an opposing one
- Primacy - the state of being the most important thing
- Rebel - a person who is opposed to the political system in their country and tries to change it using force
- Impropriety - behaviour that is dishonest, socially unacceptable, or unsuitable for a particular situation
- Toppling - remove (a government or person in authority) from power
- Probe - a thorough investigation into a crime or other mattee
- Sting operation - an operation implemented by undercover agents to catch criminals while they are doing illegal things
- Reinstatement - the action of giving someone back a position they have lost
- Valid - legally or officially acceptable

- Topple - to (cause to) lose balance and fall down
- Regime - government
- Behest - a person's orders or command
- Untrammelled - not limited by rules or any other controlling influence
- Adjudicate - to act as judge in a competition or argument / to make a formal decision about something
- Machination - a plot or scheme
- Bolthole - a place where a person can escape and hide

- Bilateral - having or relating to two sides
- Renegotiate - to discuss an agreement again in order to change it
- Amending - making minor changes to something
- Adequate - satisfactory or acceptable in quality or quantity
- Concrete - clear
- Emerged - to appear by coming out of something or out from behind something
- Loophole - a small mistake in law that gives someone the chance to avoid having to do something
- Prevailing - existing at a particular time / current
- Rendered - provided / gave
- Bona fides - documentary evidence showing that a person is what they claim to be / credentials
- Conduit - a way of connecting two places
- Conformity - to behave according to the usual standards of behaviour that are expected by the society
- Combating - to take action to reduce or prevent (something bad or undesirable)
- To curb - to control or limit something that is not wanted
- Treaty - a written agreement between two or more countries, formally approved and signed by their leaders
- Dodging - avoiding
- Domicile - the country that a person treats as their permanent home
