The Prime Minister-led Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) today appointed senior IAS officer, Amitabh Kant as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog (additional charge).
Mr Kant, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Kerela cadre, is presently a Secretary in Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). He is going to hold the additional charge in place of the current CEO Sindhushree Khullar, whose tenure ends on December, 31.
He will be in this position till the appointment of a regular incumbent or till further orders.
