PM Narendra Modi ranked 9th in the Forbes' World's Most Powerful People List 2015

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been ranked World's 9th Most Powerful People according to the list released by Forbes Magazine. He is placed between UK Prime Minister David Cameron, at number eight and Google's Larry Page at 10. This list was topped by Russian President Vladimir Putin.  Last year (in 2014) Modi was placed 14th in the Forbes list of world's powerful people. About Modi, the magazine said that India's "populist" Prime Minister presided over 7.4 per cent GDP growth in his first year in office, and "raised his profile" as a global leader during official visits with Barack Obama and Xi Jinping.
The only other Indian in list is Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani who is ranked at the 36th position.
