It happens: Don't lose hope

October 27, 2015

Dear BA'ians,

HOPE - Hold on, Pain Ends.
This article is shared by our ardent readers. This will give you an edge to your revision with a hope that you have to move on.
As soon as the IBPS declared its RRB result there were a lot of negative vibes on Facebook and all other related websites. This time was no different as IBPS destroyed the dreams of many aspirants and made them sad. All this came into picture when the aspirants started posting on WebPages. Yes, it was disappointing for those who could not make it and great matter of sadness for those who were writing their last exam. For many it was hard to believe that inspite of so much of hard work they failed. If you try you will get what you want but sometimes someone else needs it more than you.
It happens.
Believe me, it happens. The situation you are facing right now happens with many of us and a many times. In course of life, many times we put all of our efforts and result is ZERO. Instead of looking at zero you need to think what went wrong and now what you need to do. This zero doesn’t mean that you ended with nothing. Now you have experience, now you can think what and how you need to proceed. It is said that Abraham Lincoln faced failure for 28 years but at the end he became President of the United States. So, again stand up and get ready for fight. If you believe, you can do it.
What’s your Goal?
If you are really in depression or if it was your last chance to make it in IBPS then think ‘what is my goal?'.  You wanted to see yourself as a workman in banking? Was this your goal?
Most of us would agree that it can be very short term goal but not the ultimate goal. Then what is your goal? Earn money or get recognition in society or seek a stable life? If this is your goal then still you have so many roads to reach there. Let me put an example here. Imagine you cleared your pre and for Interview you have been called in Delhi. The date you have got is just after 7 days while you are residing at Ranchi. Your ultimate goal is to reach Delhi for attending interview. First you will try for normal rail ticket then Tatkal. If these two options fail then negotiating with TTE and travelling in General would be the scene. If this is also not possible then going to some other city to catch the train might be OK. In short you would do anything to reach Delhi i.e. your ultimate goal. If I would be
determined I will surely reach there.
Similarly you too have so many ways. First, think what is your ultimate goal and then start searching for alternatives. The day you stop thinking about your failure and give time for future, you will find many ways. If you failed, don’t think that life ends there. Go out and search for alternatives to fulfil your ultimate dream. It can be a little tricky or full of ups and downs, but you will get your goal.

This small article is just to convey you that don’t lose hope. Get ready for the next battle.
Don’t forget that winning feels awesome therefore be more hungry for that feeling. We wish you best of luck.
