Some things just take their own time. Priyanka Chopra was all set to debut as a producer on 'Madamji', to be directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
However, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror published on Monday, it seems as though the project has been delayed "indefinitely".
Bhandarkar, who previously directed Chopra in 'Fashion' (for which the actress won a National Award), has reportedly already started working on a different project with a different actress in mind. The reason for this has been Chopra's time commitments, which include American TV show 'Quantico'; Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period love story, 'Bajirao Mastani', which she has already started shooting for; and Reema Kagti's next, in which she pairs off against Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

One of Bhandarkar's biggest worries and reasons for putting off the project, therefore, is her time commitments to 'Quantico', which might take up even more of her time should the show do well and get a longer run.
An unnamed source quoted by Mirror said that there was "no bad blood between the duo" and that they were in "complete agreement" with all the problems that had been plaguing this project since it was first announced. One of those problems, reportedly, was this script's similarity with the recently-released Mallika Sherawat-starrer 'Dirty Politics', which bombed badly at the box-office.
