Motorola has announced the launch of the 4G version of the second-generation Moto E in India for Rs. 7,999.
Priced at Rs. 1000 above the 3G variant, the 4G Moto E is listed for pre-order on Flipkart, deliveries will begin on April 23rd.
The Moto E goes against a spate of 4G devices now in the market including the Redmi 2 and the Lenovo A6000 and A7000.
The second generation Moto E sports a larger 4.5-inch qHD display, 8 GB of storage and a larger 2390 mAh battery. The camera now has auto-focus and 720p video recording capabilities, in addition to a secondary VGA camera for selfies. The Moto E runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports two SIMs.
The specs for the 4G and 3G versions are nearly ideal with the exception of the chipset — the 4G version uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, while the 3G model is powered by a Snapdragon 200 chip.
