Kangana Ranaut Is Back (And Twice As Nice) In The 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' Trailer

April 14, 2015

For those who loved Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut's on-screen chemistry, here's a double dosage coming their way. The new 'Tanu Weds Manu' trailer was tweeted earlier today, proudly displaying it's trump card — Kangana cast in a double role to entice the lovable Tamilian actor all over again.

While the prequel that was released in 2011 dealt with pre-marriage twists, the sequel addresses the complexities that crop up in marital life. Kangana's new role in the film sees her cast as a Haryanvi athlete called Kusum who is preparing for a big event — quite the opposite of the brash, colourful Tanu (her previous role). Manu, who has returned to India with Tanu, allows himself to fall in love with her tomboy avatar, after admitting that all is not quite well in his marriage.

Here's a look at Kangana in her new role as Kusum.

Also back in action is Tanu's old flame Raja played by Jimmy Shergill. Deepak Dobriyal, and Eijaz Khan also feature in the film.

Directed by Anand L Rai, 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' was scheduled to release on May 29 this year, but has been brought forward by a week.
