-Haryana become first state in the country to launch High-Risk Pregnancy (HRP) portal.

-India-Japan Smart Grid Pilot Project was inaugurated by State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the presence of Japanese Minister Keniko Sen at Panipat, Haryana to solve the various complications faced by the power distribution sector.

-The 32nd edition of Surajkund International Crafts Mela was held at Faridabad, Haryana. It was formally inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the presence of Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar. This year Uttar Pradesh is theme state and Kyrgyzstan is the partner nation.

-The Haryana government has opened subsidised canteens in four districts i.e. Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar and Yamuna nagar under the ‘Antyodaya Aahaar Yojana’ to provide healthy, nutritious and hygienic food at affordable prices to all poor and needy persons.

-The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved Rs. 1,151 crore Central Sector Scheme for in-situ management of crop residue in Punjab, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and NCT of Delhi to deal with problem of stubble burning that result in raising air pollution levels in Delhi and neighbouring states every winter.

-Haryana assembly passed Criminal Law (Haryana Amendment) Bill, 2018 providing for death penalty for convicts found guilty of raping girls aged 12 years or less. With this, Haryana became third state to have provision of capital punishment for such sexual offenders, after Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

-GOBARdhan Yojna, announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his 2018 budget speech will be launched nationally from Karnal district of Haryana by end of April 2018. GOBAR is acronym for Galvanising Organic Bio Agro Resources.

-Harayana Government has launched 7-Star Gram Panchayat Rainbow scheme to give star rankings to its panchayats on the basis of seven social parameters. Ambala has topped star ranking followed by Gurugram and Karnal.

-Haryana Government has launched ‘Paudhagiri campaign’, an unique program to increase green cover in the state. It was launched by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar by planting ‘maulsari’ sapling in Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex premises of Gurugram. The campaign aims increase green cover in the state, help in stabilising environment and improve overall climatic conditions, thus help in checking global warming.

-Ministry of Home Affairs sponsored Student Police Cadet (SPC) Programme was launched nationally in Gurugram, Haryana, launched by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the presence of Union Human Resources Minister Prakash Javadekar. The programme aims to build bridge between Police and larger community through school students by inculcating values and ethics in them through classes in school and outside.

-Five northern states Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Union territories of and Delhi and Chandigarh have decided to set up centralised secretariat at Panchkula (Haryana) to tackle the drug menace. 

-Haryana Government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to set up ethanol plant at village Bohali village in Panipat district with an outlay of over Rs. 900 crore. 

-Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved proposal for introduction of Bill in Parliament for amendment of National Institutes of Design (NID) Act, 2014 for establishing four new NIDs across the country. Those are-
  • National Institute of Design, Amaravati/Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. 
  • National Institute of Design, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. 
  • National Institute of Design, Jorhat, Assam. 
  • National Institute of Design, Kurukshetra, Haryana.

-Northern states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territories of Delhi and Chandigarh have agreed to fix uniform tax rates on petroleum products, amid rising fuel prices. 

-At Swachh Survekshan Grameen Awards 2018; Haryana was ranked as best State, Satara District of Maharashtra was ranked as best district. Uttar Pradesh was rewarded for maximum citizens’ participation.The rankings were based on the National Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 of the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

-Indian IT industry’s apex body National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) in collaboration with Haryana government and is part of nationwide collaborative initiative involving the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched its Centre of Excellence for the Internet of Things (CoE – IoT) at Gurugram, Haryana.

-Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled a 64-foot-tall statue of peasant leader Sir Chhotu Ram at his native village Sampla in Rohtak district of Haryana. The statue has been sculpted by renowned sculptor and Padma Bhushan-recipient Ram Vanji Sutar.
