Yes! Today is the deadline for depositing all old currency notes of 1000 and 500 in your bank accounts as per the guidelines laid by Reserve Bank of India. So don't miss this out, after this day this process of exchanging currency notes will be more tiresome as you'll have to get it then exchanged from RBI.
This Last Date Reminder is for all our readers and all those who are still with old currency notes. After 30th December 2016, you have to visit Reserve Bank of India to get those bills exchanged along with an affidavit citing the reason why you weren't able to get old notes changed in Banks till 30th of December.Last date to exchange old notes in RBI is 31st March 2016. And after 31st March if you are found with old currency notes of 500 and 1000 then it will be considered an offence and you'll be liable to a fine of Rs. 10000.
