  • Restore - to cause a particular situation to exist again, especially a positive one
  • Ceasefire - an agreement, usually between two armies, to stop fighting in order to allow discussions about peace
  • Cohesive - combining well to form a strong well-organized unit
  • Road map - a plan for how to achieve something

  • Behead - to cut off someone’s head, especially as a punishment

  • Hostility - opposition to something (unfriendly)

  • Disaffection - the state of no longer supporting or being satisfied with an organization

  • Rendered - to cause something to be in a particular state
  • Bubbled over - to be very excited and enthusiastic
  • Arms - weapons and equipment used to kill and injure people (guns / bombs)
  • Mortar - a large gun with a short, wide barrel, that fires bombs or other explosives very high into the air
  • Artillery - very large guns that are moved on wheels or metal tracks
  • Fog - a confused or uncertain state
  • Distinguish - to notice or understand the difference between two things
  • Guilty - ashamed and sorry because you have done something wrong
  • Uncertainty - a nervous feeling that you have because you think bad things might happen
  • Vis-à-vis - compared to or relating to someone or something
  • Incumbent - someone who has an official position
  • Requisite - necessary or needed for a particular purpose
  • Demonetisation - to officially stop using particular notes or coins, or a particular currency
  • Adventurism - a way of managing a business, government, or the armed forces that is considered dangerous and might have negative results
  • Unpredictable - changing often, in a way that is impossible to prepare for
  • Barrier - something that separates one thing from another
  • Demise - the death of a person
  • Multifaceted - having many different parts
  • Defied - to refuse to obey something
  • Transcended - to go further, rise above, or be more important or better than something, especially a limit
  • Captivating - to hold the attention of someone by being extremely interesting, exciting, pleasant, or attractive
  • Meditative - involving deep careful thought
  • Overseas - related to other countries
  • Child prodigy - a young child who has very great ability in something:
  • Emerged - to become known
  • Genre - a style, especially in the arts, that involves a particular set of characteristics
  • Sheer - used to emphasize how very great, important, or powerful a quality or feeling is
  • Incessant - never stopping
  • Penchant - a feeling of liking something very much or a tendency to do something a lot
  • Experimentation - the process of testing various ideas, methods, or activities to see what effect they have
  • Maestro - a musician who people admire and respect a lot
  • Conventional - of the usual, traditional, or accepted type, instead of being new and different
  • Distinctive - easy to recognize because of being different from other people or things of the same type
  • Formidable - very impressive in size, power, or skill and therefore deserving respect and often difficult to deal with

  • Cognoscenti - people who are experts in a particular subject
  • Revel - to celebrate or enjoy yourself in a lively and noisy way, especially by singing, dancing, and drinking alcohol
  • Controversy -a lot of disagreement or argument about something, usually because it affects or is important to many people
  • Despite - used for saying that something happens even though something else might have prevented it
  • Maverick - an independent person who has ideas and behaviour that are very different from other people’s
  • Relatively - in comparison with someone or something similar
  • Reinforced - to make something stronger
  • Arguably - used for stating your opinion or belief, especially when you think other people may disagree
  • Imprint - a strong permanent influence on someone or something
  • Pan-Indian - relating to the whole of India
  • Irreversibly - impossible to change or bring back a previous condition or situation
  • Explicit - clear and exact
  • Doyen - the oldest, most experienced, and often most respected person of all the people involved in a particular type of work
  • Redoubtable - very strong, especially in character; producing respect and a little fear in others
  • Foster - to encourage the development or growth of ideas or feelings
  • Harmony - a situation in which people live and work well with other people, or in a way that does not damage things around them
  • Venture - a new activity
  • Unwittingly - without knowing or planning
  • Herald - to be a sign that something important, and often good, is starting to happen, or to make something publicly known, especially by celebrating or praising it
  • Era - a period of time that has a particular quality or character

  • Rendition - a particular way of performing a song, poem, piece of music etc
  • Pursuit - the process of trying to achieve something
  • Privileged - having advantages and opportunities that other people do not have
  • Void - a situation in which something important that is usually present is no longer there
  • Tremendous - sed for emphasizing that something such as an amount, achievement, or feeling is extremely great, important, or strong
  • Legacy - something that someone has achieved that continues to exist after they stop working or die
